The standard model

One fee table.
No selective headline.

The figures below describe the current standard completed-outcome model. They are gross contractor fees, not wages or take-home pay. GST, program exclusions and individually negotiated variations can apply.

Required submission is late$50

Late outcome

The agreement defines when a required attendance and assessment submission is late.

Eligible single-session day$100

Uplifted outcome

Applies to eligible programs when the coach has one qualifying session on that day.

Why the unit matters: Mastery pays for the defined result, not a clocked hour. We therefore do not turn these fees into an hourly equivalent or place them on the same bar as employee wages.
Professional value

You are responsible for a safe, purposeful session and useful individual observation, not simply occupying the field.

Retention

Clear fees and lower admin friction help experienced people keep coaching alongside their other work and clients.

Measurable output

The app makes the result visible: session, attendance, assessment, feedback, accrued fee and contractor-initiated invoice.

South Australian evidence

Published figures.
Visible gaps.

Many academy and club opportunities publish duties without publishing a rate. Rather than fill those gaps with estimates, this table shows what each reviewed source actually disclosed.

What this cannot tell you

Hourly employee rates can include casual loading, statutory entitlements and paid time that a contractor fee does not. Contractor comparisons also depend on travel, preparation, insurance, tax, super where legally required, unpaid administration, session length and role scope. The Indeed figure is especially limited because it uses five reports. No reliable public South Australian first-team professional-club rate was found, so none is claimed.

Experience helps.
Curiosity counts.

For coaches with the judgement and communication to take responsibility for accepted youth sessions and individual feedback.

Developing

For newer coaches who want plans, mentoring, observation and a practical environment in which to develop.

Leadership opportunity

Location Lead & Coach Mentor

We also want experienced coaches who can look beyond their own session and help maintain the health of a whole location.

  • Observe coaches and record constructive reviews
  • Track development focus areas and follow-up
  • Support parent conversations where appropriate
  • Report on punctuality, equipment and venue standards
  • Use evidence and judgement rather than hierarchy for its own sake

Separately scoped

This is not an automatic addition to the standard session outcome. Responsibilities and fees are agreed separately based on experience, venue coverage, observation and reporting scope.

Refer a new coach

$100

Good coaches know good coaches.

Eligible adults aged 18 or over can earn one $100 AUD bank-transfer reward for every distinct eligible new coach they introduce. Self-referrals and people assigned recruitment duties are excluded. There is no referral cap.

Coach referral terms and privacy
  1. Referrer must be 18 or older. Self-referrals and people whose assigned duty is recruitment are excluded.
  2. The candidate must have no prior Mastery coach application, Airtable coach-candidate record or coaching engagement before the referred application.
  3. The referral token attached to the candidate’s first completed application fixes attribution. Later links cannot overwrite it.
  4. The coach must be onboarded and complete at least one accepted, payable coaching outcome in ten separate Adelaide calendar weeks within six months. A week is recorded once the outcome appears in the contractor’s confirmed invoice/payout records. Weeks need not be consecutive; multiple outcomes in one week count once; an accepted late outcome still counts.
  5. Mastery does not guarantee enough sessions will be offered or accepted to reach the milestone. A coach who delays invoice confirmation may see referral progress update later, using the original service dates.
  6. One $100 reward is available per distinct eligible coach, with no cap. Mastery verifies identity and eligibility before arranging bank transfer. No payout timeframe is promised.
  7. We store the referrer’s name, verified email, optional phone, terms acceptance, application attribution, milestone state, and payment reference. We tell the referrer the candidate’s first name and milestone status, but not coaching records or bank details. See our privacy policy.
  8. Public forms never collect bank details. Misleading, duplicate or fraudulent claims may be rejected. Terms version: 15 July 2026.

Questions

Before you apply.

How is the opportunity structured?

Mastery offers this work as independent, non-exclusive coaching engagements, session by session, under the Contractor Services Agreement. That is the parties’ intended model; rights and obligations that apply by law are preserved. There is no guaranteed volume, continuity, hours or income.

Do I need an ABN or Working With Children Check to express interest?

No documents are required to submit interest. If you progress, onboarding covers the child-safety, supplier, insurance, agreement and payout steps required before the relevant coaching begins.

Is $100 the default fee?

No. The standard completed-outcome fee is $75. The $100 fee applies to eligible single-session days. Late required submissions are paid at $50 under the current standard terms. Program exceptions and negotiated variations can apply.

Are the market figures directly comparable?

No. Published hourly employee rates and a per-outcome contractor fee have different units, costs and entitlements. The evidence table keeps those categories separate and explains the limitations.

Can new coaches apply?

Yes. Experienced coaches can express interest in independent delivery, while developing coaches can express interest in mentoring, plans and supervised development.

Bring your judgement.
We’ll make the system lighter.

Express interest in about a minute. No onboarding documents are required at the application stage.
